Best Motorcycle Dealers

To review the best dealers in Edmonton, there are a few factors that we will be discussing throughout the article. There will be an emphasis on beginner riding along with the reputation of the dealers to ensure you are taken care of when entering the motorcycle dealer of your choice.

Let’s get started.

Riverside Motosports & Riverside Honda

Riverside Motosports & Riverside Honda are located in St. Albert, a suburb of Edmonton, and are a dealer that we can not keep off our list as one of the best motorcycle dealers. They have been serving the Edmonton area for over 50 years and with that type of experience, it’s no wonder that this dealer is a favourite for Edmonton riders.

Beginner Friendly

Riverside has it all. Knowledge, Experience, Brands and more… Don’t be confused by the multiple names – Riverside Motosports and Riverside Honda, are both out of the same location.

After having an in-person discussion with Danny Yaggey (General Manager of Riverside Motosports), I was relieved to know that Riverside has a conscious when selling beginner’s their first motorcycle. Danny started his motorcycle journey at the age of 14 when he started sweeping the floors at Riverside Motosports in 1983. He was part of a work experience program in grade 9 and tied his love of motorcycles with a job. 35+ years later, he is still passionate about motorcycles and is a wealth of knowledge at Riverside. If you’re looking for advice or where to get started, Riverside has the experience to help.

Riverside also has a lot of options for beginner riders to purchase a motorcycle or riding gear. If you’re financing a motorcycle, they are able to utilize their financing partners to gear you up to 20% of the percent of the purchase price of your new motorcycle for accessory purchases. All new customers that purchase a new unit will also get 15% off all apparel and accessories for 90 days after the purchase in order to help them get set up to their needs after the purchase. This allows you to get gear suited to you, from top brands, to properly protect you when riding your new motorcycle.

If you can travel just 10 minutes outside of Edmonton to get an amazing experience, I would highly recommend Riverside.

Argyll Motorsports

Argyll Motorsports is, without a doubt, one of the best motorcycle dealers in Edmonton. After undergoing a management change in 2014, they have improved their reputation and awareness throughout Edmonton. They are considered one of the largest dealers with a large selection of brands.

Beginner Friendly

I went to Argyll Motorsports when I started my riding journey. The experience was incredible. Customer service is always paramount and the staff at Argyll are trained to ensure you are taken care of. Whenever you walk into Argyll, you’re warmly greeted by their staff whether you’re a regular customer or a beginner rider.

Believe me when I say this, they know when you’re a beginner rider as soon as you walk in the door. The experience the new department had was nothing short of extensive. From the feeling of each motorcycle (which are easy to get on and off in the showroom) to why I shouldn’t purchase a larger CC motorcycle. They don’t care about a sale, they care about your well-being.

The sales representatives in the equipment section were also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They checked my head shape, the size of my head, and allowed me to try on a helmet for over 30 minutes to ensure it wasn’t uncomfortable. They made sure my jacket, gloves, pants, and shoe sizing were all correct, whether or not I purchased the equipment from them or online. Unbeknownst to me, they also have a ladies and kids boutique upstairs. They have separate changing rooms on a different floor from the main floor. This is important for many reasons and allows for a better buying experience for all riders.

For beginner riders, Argyll has a promotion where they will reduce the price of apparel and gear by 15% if you prove that you have an upcoming motorcycle training date or are a new Class 6 rider. Be sure to ask about this discount!

All in all, they’ve got their process down pat, care about the riders that come in and go out of their way to help. Don’t hesitate to visit Argyll Motorsports!
